Boca de Tomatlan, commonly called Boca“, was founded in 1847. This  small fishing town, surrounded by lush tropical mountains, is located 14 mi or 22 klm south of PV. You can swim in the river to freshen up prior to your return to PV. To fully enjoy this special beach town ,stay overnight at La Posada PacificaThe buses to Boca are located in Old PV at Basilio & Constitucion Aves. They leave about every 30 minutes from 7 am to 10 pm & return to Old PV until 10 pm. The 40 minute ride, with live music often on board, costs about 10 pesos. Bus Tip. Sit on the right side to Boca & left from Boca facing forward for best views. If you’d like to go to Yelapa, the boat ride is 200 pesos round trip & takes about 40 minutes to Yelapa.
